Unified Bank Breaks Ground in Moundsville

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were, from left to right, Matt Branstetter, Unified Bank EVP, Chief Lending and Operations Officer; Tanner Russell, Unified Bank Senior Commercial Banking Officer; Zachary Blair, Unified Bank Senior Commercial Banking Officer; Mayor Phil Remke; Scott Everson, Unified Bank Chairman, President and CEO; City Manager Rick Healy; Executive Director of the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce Scott Reager.

Officials with Unified Bank broke ground last week on their new banking center in Moundsville.

The ceremony June 18 marked the beginning of construction on the two-story bank at Tomlinson Avenue and Seventh Street.

The bank will provide customer access and service through four indoor teller stations with a handicap accessible service window, a new accounts office for confidential account openings, a manager’s office for private financial consultation and a conference room for meetings and loan closings. In addition, there will be two drive-thru lanes and a drive-up ATM for express service.

Officials said this will be a full-service branch with a loan officer available to consult with customers on all types of consumer, mortgage and business type loans.

“From the moment that we first spoke with Mayor (Phil) Remke about the potential of this project, he was extremely excited to hear about our plans to build a new banking center in Moundsville and enlightened us on his vision for the city,” said Scott Everson, the chairman, president and CEO of Unified Bank. “Quite frankly, there are a lot of positive things going on in the City of Moundsville and we truly value the opportunity to be a part of it.”

P.W. Campbell, a banking industry planning/design/construction management company from Pittsburgh, designed the building and will oversee the construction. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2020.

Unified Bank is a full-service FDIC-insured, state-chartered commercial bank headquartered in Martins Ferry and has 19 locations in Ohio.

The bank also has a loan production office in Wheeling.

Starting at $2.99/week.
