WHEELING – The West Virginia Division of Highways announced that there will be four separate intermittent closures from 7 a.m.to 11 a.m. Sunday, each lasting up to 15 minutes on Interstate 70 east of the Wheeling Tunnel.

The West Virginia State Police will conduct rolling roadblocks to control traffic.

This is necessary for American Electric Power to relocate power lines, East of the Wheeling Tunnel at McCullough Street, as part of the I-70 Bridges Project.

Motorists are advised to reduce speed and expect delays.

Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
