Parlin Trust Benefits Special Education at Ohio County Schools

Ohio County Schools is again benefiting from a generous contribution from a local trust.

The Martha Parlin Trust recently provided the Ohio County Schools Special Education Department with a $5,000 donation.

School system Special Education Director Leah Stout said the donation will be used for the purchase of two evacuation chairs, a table stand for students with disabilities and a C-Pen reader for students who have a visual impairment.

Stout thanked Martha Parlin Trust Officer Anthony Habbit, who serves as a senior vice president for WesBanco, for the contribution to Ohio County Schools.

She said the funding will greatly benefit the school system’s special education department and the students it serves.

“WesBanco has always been very supportive in issuing Parlin funds to the special education department of Ohio County Schools,” Stout said. “This funding has created important opportunities for students who truly need them. I am so appreciative of this generous contribution to our schools and our children.”

The Martha Parlin Trust is managed by WesBanco and Investment Services. It supports programs in Wheeling and Ohio County.
