EQT Foundation Gifts Symphony On Ice Show

WHEELING – Wheeling Symphony Orchestra was presented with a $25,000 check by EQT Foundation toward sponsorship of the annual Symphony On Ice event set for Dec. 5. On hand at the Capitol Theatre on Thursday to present the check was Ellen Rossi, foundation manager.

Each year, Symphony On Ice attracts thousands of people across the Ohio Valley. This annual holiday events combines the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra led by Music Director John Devlin, area middle and high school choirs, members from the Wheeling and Pittsburgh Skate Clubs, and national and championship skaters.

“We thank the EQT Foundation for their support for this incredible community event,” says Bruce Wheeler, executive director of the WSO. “Their sponsorship allows us to keep performing Symphony On Ice for the residents of the Ohio Valley. We truly appreciate the foundation’s generosity and look forward to continuing our work together.”
