Thalman Cited for Leaving Scene of an Accident
WHEELING – An early Sunday morning accident outside a Wheeling establishment led to city Vice Mayor Chad Thalman being cited by city police with leaving the scene of an accident.
According to the Wheeling Police Department, officers were called to the parking lot outside Generations Pub around 1:23 a.m. Sunday for a reported hit and run accident.
According to police, the suspect driving the car — who they later identified as Thalman, 37 — hit a parked vehicle.
By the time police arrived, Thalman had left the scene.
Officers later located Thalman and issued him a citation for leaving the scene of an accident.
When asked about the accident and citation following Tuesday’s council meeting, Thalman declined to comment.
