Father, Daughter Grace Newspapers During Christmas

BELMONT - Nearly 30 years apart, a father and daughter have their photo grace the pages of the newspaper during Christmas.
Christopher Craig was only 4 years old when his photograph ran on the cover of the Wheeling News-Register in 1991. Nearly 30 years later, his daughter, 7-month-old Ryann Craig, is having her photo with Santa appear in the Christmas Day edition of The Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register.
Ryann met Santa for the first time Dec. 14 at the Breakfast with Santa event in Belmont. Karen Craig, Christopher's mother and Ryann's grandmother, said the young girl had a good time meeting the top elf.
"She was just in awe of (Santa)," Karen said of her granddaughter. "She wasn't afraid at all."
The family is looking forward to celebrating the holiday together in Belmont, where Karen resides.
Ryann, along with her mother, Shawnacy, and father are now residents of Canton, Ohio.
