WesBanco Bank Donates Holiday Trees

WHEELING - WesBanco Bank, the banking subsidiary of WesBanco Inc., continues its tradition of brightening the holiday season for area families again this year by donating Christmas trees decorated by local businesses and community members.

WesBanco purchased four trees from the 26th annual Christmas Tree Gala Extravaganza and Auction event, sponsored by the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce and WesBanco Bank. The proceeds generated by the event are provided to local charities and organizations.

"During our 150 years, not only has WesBanco maintained its strong community banking roots and commitment to the success of the communities in which we do business, but our generous employees are equally motivated to help them grow and prosper," said Dawn Zenner-Gaudi, WesBanco Market President of Upper Ohio Valley. "We are happy and honored to help spread holiday joy among our neighborhood families again this year through our continued partnership with the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce and the Christmas Tree Gala Extravaganza and Auction."

One of the trees donated is themed "Cozy Christmas" which was decorated by Valley Hospice and is on display in WesBanco's Shadyside banking center. The second tree, on display at WesBanco's McMechen office and titled "Snowmen," was decorated by Center McMechen Elementary School.

The third tree, decorated by Westwood Place, is themed "Winter Wonderland" and is displayed at the Moundsville banking center. The fourth tree was decorated by Jean Doughtery and named "And Heaven and Nature Sing" and is displayed at WesBanco's Ohio Valley Plaza banking center.

In addition, the staff of WesBanco's Moundsville and McMechen banking centers decorated a tree for the auction themed "Candy Cane."

"We are always excited to partner with WesBanco for the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce Tree Gala," said Scott Reager, executive director of the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce. "We appreciate their continued support for the chamber and their active involvement in the community."
