WHEELING - A Wheeling man faces felony charges after allegedly repeatedly taking bottles of booze from a CVS store over a three-day period.

Last week, Anthony McNeill, 44, of 705 Market St., Wheeling was arrested after a string of thefts from the CVS on National Road in Wheeling. On Jan. 19, McNeill allegedly was seen on security camera footage stealing four bottles of Crown Royal. McNeill was identified by a CVS staff member from past encounters. The following day, wearing the same clothes, McNeil again allegedly was seen on surveillance camera footage coming into the store and stealing three more bottles of the liquor.

The following day, McNeill allegedly returned to the store to steal another bottle, this time setting off an alarm as he left. A police report indicates that McNeill left the scene one minute prior to the officer's arrival.

McNeill was subsequently arrested on Saturday and charged with three counts of entering without breaking. He remained lodged Wednesday at the Northern Regional Jail in Moundsville in lieu of $15,000 bond.

His preliminary hearing before Ohio County Magistrate Janine Varner is set for 11 a.m. Friday.
