Be Local by Attending Annual Home and Garden Show

Rich Ice, left, and Dalton Reynolds, both workers from Lehman’s Landscaping and Concrete in Powhatan Point, are shown constructing an elaborate outdoor fireplace setting for the home show. They are among more than 30 businesses expected to show their wares at this weekend’s event.

WHEELING — There are many reasons to be local in your daily shopping habits and what better way to show off some of the area’s great vendors than by visiting a home and garden show.

With the expectation of an early spring just a little more than a month away, the 2020 Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce Home and Garden Show at WesBanco Arena will help you get those winter project thoughts off the ground. On tap are many familiar and some new vendors and crafters.

With Lowe’s of Wheeling serving as the host sponsor, the free show will be open from 3-7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Parking is available at the Robert C. Byrd Intermodal Transportation Center or on the street.

The main arena floor will be home to more than 30 vendors showcasing their wares, offering advice on products and do-it-yourself jobs and touting their services. From home builders to roofing, insurance to vacations, visitors can stroll the aisles at their leisure and learn the latest in home design and innovation.

On the upper floor, more than two dozen crafters, artisans and direct sellers will be set up for browsing and buying.

The advantages of a home show for homeowners who are planning a remodeling project is that you’ll have access to numerous vendors, ideas and the latest in home innovation and trends to get the most out of your plan.

Businesses that participate have direct interaction with a potential customer base.

Also, being able to see products and designs for your project first-hand — or talk with folks that have the experience of providing such services — will help you visualize and budget appropriately for the work.

Vendors on the main floor will include: AD Baker Homes Inc.; Allegiance Homes; Allen Doors and Windows; Amish Country Roofing; Angelina Stone & Marble; Baker’s Waterproofing; Barn View Furniture; Bath Fitter; Better Business Bureau; Breisch & Crowley, LLC; Citywide Insurance & Real Estate; Crossroads Farm Properties; Elite Concrete Coatings; Engineered Foundation Solutions; ERB Electric; Fairview Log Homes; Gutter Helmet By Harry Helmet; Home Environment Solutions; Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal; Kennedy Hardware and Outdoor Power Equipment; Leaf Home Safety Solutions, LLC; LeafFilter of Pennsylvania, LLC; Leafguard of Pittsburgh; Lifetime Stainless Steel; Mid-Ohio Valley Exteriors; Mountain Aire Neighborhood Builders; Panhandle CR; Remodeling Solutions; Sundance Vacations; West Virginia Roughriders; Wheeling Heating, LLC; Window World; Windows R Us; World Class Roofing; Yoder Building Co.; YWCA Wheeling -Y Fix-It Inc.
