Harvey Goodman Realtor Honors Top Agents

Jay Goodman presents the first place plaque to Karen DeRosa.

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Harvey Goodman Realtor recently held its 2020 Kickoff and Convention at Belmont Hills Country Club in St. Clairsville.

“This is our one day a year where we ask our agents to reschedule their day, and join us to celebrate last year and focus on what improvements we are focusing on this year,” said John Sambuco, managing partner for Harvey Goodman Realtor.

The Harvey Goodman Realtor Convention keynote speaker for 2020 was Charles Zelek, PhD., U.S. Department of Energy. Zelek is a senior economist with the Department of Energy, Office of Fossil Energy in Washington, D.C. There were approximately 150 in attendance as Zelek shared a plethora of information with the convention attendees representing the leading mortgage, title and legal teams, etc., in the area serving the real estate industry, and the Goodman team.

Zelek explained energy market analyses and how oil and gas will greatly impact the Ohio Valley. Zelek shared economic changes around the country following the expansion of the oil and gas industry. Average incomes in areas may double or even triple. The positive impact of plants, factories and various supporting industries will have a generational positive impact that will be felt everywhere, not the least of which is a booming real estate market.

The event included a private breakfast for the members of the Goodman team and a chef’s creation lunch for all 150 in attendance. Everyone enjoyed participating in the HGR Affiliate Scavenger Hunt, ‘The Treasure Among Us!’ where the Goodman team and affiliates enjoyed learning something new and fun about each business.
