WHEELING - Wheeling Elks Lodge No. 28 has announced its students of the month for February. The winners are Emily Anderson and Creed Kidney, both Seniors at John Marshall High School.
Emily, the daughter of Mary and Jason Anderson of Glen Dale, is president of the National Honor Society. She recently attended the West Virginia's Governor's Honors Academy. She has been president of her local Go-Getters 4-H Club for seven consecutive years. She is a member of multiple clubs at her school, and also volunteers as both a Kidz City Volunteer and a Night to Shine volunteer.
Creed, the son of Timmi and Kevin Snyder of Glen Dale, has attended the Governor's Honors Academy, the Governor's School of the Arts and the Governor's School of Entrepreneurship. He is a three-time state tournament qualifier for the John Marshall swim team. He is a member of his school's Academic/Quiz Bowl team. And he recently received the Presidential Service Award through HOBY for 178 hours of community service.
