Gordman’s Opens in Moundsville

By Alan Olson 1 min read
Moundsville City Manager Rick Healy is pictured cutting the ribbon to officially open the store while Marshall County Chamber of Commerce Vice President Stanley Stewart, John Marshall High School Principal Cassandra Porter and store manager Kathy Yannerella look on. Yannerella, far right, earlier had presented a $1,000 donation to Porter, which Yannerella said was customary as Gordman’s emphasizes giving back to local school systems.

Dozens of local officials, store employees and excited shoppers turned out despite rain showers Tuesday morning for the grand opening of Gordman's in Moundsville. The retailer took the place of the building formerly occupied by Peeble's at the plaza south of 12th Street. The John Marshall High School Marching Band performed after the ribbon cutting.
