Crews continue working to remove oil tanks from the former Straub Automotive lot on Main Street in Wheeling. Tuesday, workers used a backhoe to remove a handful of tanks from the ground. The work is expected to take at least another month to complete, and is expected to cost upward of $50,000. The Ohio County Development Authority owns the lot and is paying for the repairs. Once the repairs are complete, the lot will be turned over to West Virginia Northern Community College, which will complete the landscaping and paving.
