Free COVID-19 Testing Planned in Marshall County

MOUNDSVILLE — Free COVID-19 testing will be made available at sites in McMechen and Moundsville this week.

To increase COVID-19 testing opportunities for minorities and other vulnerable populations, the Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs, state Department of Health and Human Resources,West Virginia National Guard and Marshall County Health Department will provide free testing from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, the testing site will be at McMechen City Hall, 325 Logan St.

On Saturday, testing will be conducted at the Marshall County Health Department at 513 Sixth St. in Moundsville.

The test is available to all individuals in Marshall County, including those not exhibiting symptoms. Proof of insurance is not required. Attendees should bring identification, such as a driver’s license or proof of address, to help in returning test results.

Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Tests will be conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
