MOUNDSVILLE - Marshall County Prosecutor Joe Canestraro and Assessor Eric Buzzard were sworn in at brief ceremonies Wednesday morning at the county courthouse by Circuit Judge Jeff Cramer.
Canestraro, a former assistant prosecutor, ran unopposed in the general election to replace retiring prosecutor Rhonda Wade. Buzzard defeated unelected incumbent Terry McDiffitt in the primary election earlier in the year.
In a written statement, Buzzard said his office will provide honest, accurate and professional assessments which will ensure the county heads in a favorable direction for all residents. Canestraro said simply that he hopes to serve the citizens of Marshall County well as prosecutor.
