Lowe’s Makes ‘Home’ for the Holidays Even Better During Christmas Season

WHEELING - With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing people to spend more time at home this year, home improvement projects have become a popular way to pass the time for many, and during the holidays, Lowe's has become the headquarters for that cause with its huge selection of everything from decor to ideal gifts.
In 2020, Lowe's is helping its customers view the holidays this season as a reflection of a year that was spent at home more than any time in recent memory. Gifts that help enhance the joys and comfort of home are investments in precious time and memories with loved ones, from kitchen essentials for more meals together to a new treehouse for creative playtime outside.
Home is where the heart is, and moments with loved ones that happen there are truly things that are worth the investment.
"This holiday season, we are encouraging customers to 'gift back' to the place that has meant so much this year — home," Lowe's spokeswoman Amy Allison said. "To make the gift of home more affordable and easier to shop, we introduced a new Season of Savings event earlier than ever on Oct. 22, through December."
Allison said Lowe's stores have not only taken many steps to make sure each of its stores are sanitary, safe and easy to maintain social distance during the holiday shopping season. They also have made it easy to shop and make purchases online with convenient pickup of purchased items at your local store.
Specials during the Season of Savings event have included one-day-only steals on everything from tools to generators, pressure washers, patio sets, electronics, small appliances, floor care, lighting and home decor.
"We also introduced fresh Christmas tree delivery on online orders, and also continue to offer seamless pick-up options including buy-online, pickup in-store or curbside, new contactless self-service lockers and direct-to-home delivery to make shopping more flexible and convenient," she said. "Additionally, we expanded offerings even more to include trampolines, playsets, home and kitchen entertaining essentials, home gym equipment and more."
Allison said through the pandemic with more people staying safe at home, Lowe's was pleased to see homeowners continue to engage in home improvement projects through the year and into the holiday season.
Locally, Lowe's has home improvement store locations at 2801 Chapline St. in Wheeling, 4114 Mall Drive in Steubenville and 50421 Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville. Stores are open for normal business hours from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Stores will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day.
