WesBanco Bank VP Earns Rare Distinction

WesBanco Bank Vice-President Jeremy West recently earned a distinction only a handful of members of his profession share in West Virginia.

West, also the bank's private banker for the Upper Ohio Valley, is now a Certified Wealth Strategist, as administered by Cannon Financial Institute. He is one of just three people in West Virginia to have earned that designation.

The primary goal of certified wealth strategists is to work as effective partners with their clients with more complex wealth issues. Those awarded that designation must complete a comprehensive program of study surrounding key wealth management issues.

"In volatile times like the present, a respected financial service professional requires the skill set of a 'trusted advisor,'" said Phil Buchanan, Canon Financial Institute's board chairman. "Completing this designation distinguishes the recipient for their commitment to their clients' financial future."

West has provided personalized financial services to WesBanco customers since 2006. He has 20 years of experience in mortgage, retail and commercial lending, as well as investment and deposit service for complex asset and wealth management plans.

"I am pleased to congratulate Jeremy on achieving this prestigious designation as it represents the importance of education in assisting others with their financial needs in any environment," said Jonathan Dargusch, WesBanco Executive Vice President for Wealth Management.

"For 150 years, our commitment to serving our neighbors and their businesses has never wavered," Dargusch added, "as we have maintained our strong community roots and focus on building trusted relationships. Jeremy's wealth of financial knowledge and experience, as well as his dedication to the principles of WesBanco's 'Better Banking Pledge' have earned him a well-deserved reputation with his customers and community."

West's office is located at One Bank Plaza in Wheeling, WV, and he can be reached either by phone, 304-234-9287, or email, jwest@wesbanco.com.
