WHEELING -- Anyone looking for a luxury handbag can soon find one -- and more -- while helping the Wheeling Symphony.
The Wheeling Symphony Auxiliary is hosting its "Snag a Bag" auction from 6:30-9 p.m. March 26 at the Wheeling Park White Palace.
More than 30 new and gently used designer bags — featuring brands such as Tory Burch, Vera Bradley, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Dooney & Bourke and more — will be auctioned in both live and silent auctions. In addition to new bags, an array of purses includes bonus items, such as gift certificates to local businesses, jewelry, accessories or themed items.
Attendees also will have a chance to bid on one-of-a-kind themed bags including summer beach party, fitness, yoga, back to school, wine lovers, the Pittsburgh Steelers, an Oglebay Institute summer camp adventure and many more.
The auxiliary also is selling raffle tickets for an opportunity to win a Tory Burch tote valued at $348. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25. The winner does not have to be present at the event.
Event sponsors include Harold and Roanne Burech, Spadafore Orthodontics, Don and BethAnn Dague, Etc Art Gallery, P.J. & Kathleen McDermott, Ken and Robin Dunbar, Cynthia Morrison, Hair Loft, Re'Decorate Consignment, LLC and an anonymous sponsor.
Admission Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased by calling the Wheeling Symphony Office at 304-232-6191, from Symphony Auxiliary members or at the door. Included in the admission price are heavy hors d' oeuvres catered by Wheeling Park and your bidding paddle. A cash bar is also available.
COVID safety protocols will be followed, and masks are required for admission.
