West Liberty University will hold its annual Day of Giving today, and has set a lofty goal for donations.
"Our goal this year is to raise $150,000 in just one day," said Angela Zambito-Hill, executive director of the WLU Foundation. "We are pleased to report we have over $55,000 in matching dollars to empower our donors during this year's 24-hour giving challenge."
Donors can earmark gifts during the online and on-phone event to go to the academic program, student life initiative or sports team they choose to unlock those matching dollars. The WLU Foundation also will award a bonus to the three programs with the largest number of donors.
"West Liberty University is grateful for the matching sponsors that have stepped forward to make this year's Day of Giving the strongest yet," Zambito-Hill said. "We're confident that our valued alumni, faculty, staff and friends will help us as we work to continue to provide a quality education at an affordable cost on the Hilltop."
