Night at the Races Returns Friday To Raise Funds for the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley
WHEELING — After a two-year hiatus, Night at the Races with Blackjack is back.
The event, a fundraiser for the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley, will be held Friday in the Terrace at Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack. Tickets are $35, which includes dinner and beer samples from Carenbauer Distributing.
Each attendee will receive two no-value chips and will be invited to the blackjack tables with fun local celebrity dealers. Additional chips will be available for purchase, 10 for $5, and there will be a prize table to cash in chips. The player with the highest chip count wins a prize package from Blame My Roots Festival that includes two weekend passes and a camp stay.
Money raised at Friday’s event goes to the 2021-22 United Way Campaign, “Give Where You Live,” where what is raised here stays here. All donations will support community members of the Upper Ohio Valley.
