The Linsly School Celebrates 208th Commencement

Several standout Linsly graduates are given awards recognizing their standout performance in their fields of study. The Linsly School held its 208th commencement on Sunday, graduating 75 seniors from the Class of 2022.

In his commencement speech, Linsly Head of School Justin Zimmerman addressed the graduates, reflecting on what has been a successful and memorable year. He recognized the numerous accomplishments of the Class of 2022, recalling their many academic and athletic accomplishments including being named AP Scholars, a National Merit Semifinalist, a Presidential Scholar Nominee, winning OVAC Championships and serving their community through volunteer work.

Dr. John Holloway, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, also addressed the graduates, welcoming them as the newest members of Linsly alumni.

During the commencement ceremony, several graduates were presented awards in recognition of their outstanding qualities in leadership, citizenship, and character.

Grace Hofreuter Landini, was named valedictorian of the senior class of 2022. Zoe Elizabeth Tsikouris was named salutatorian. Sixteen other students were each granted with additional awards, recognizing them as standout students in their particular areas of study.

Among the 75 Linsly graduates of the Class of 2022, 11 members began their careers at Linsly in the fifth grade, completing grades 5 through 12 at The Linsly School. Those graduates, also known as "Linsly Lifers," are: Hayden Bozich, Mara Carlisle, Haylie Chiarella, Nicholas Earls, Rachel Ekanem, Chad Frazier, Madison Hennen, Shane Heron, James “Caleb” Murray, Xander Plute and Brodie Selmon.
