The Marshall County Fair continues today with a variety of entertainment including chainsaw carving by Jeff Roscoe and roping shows by Rafter Z Rodeo.
On Monday, the fair crowned its royalty in a number of categories. The day was capped when Megan Lynn Dougherty was named the 2022 Queen and Justice Marie Robinson the 2022 Princess. The competitions began Monday afternoon when Beau Cumpston was crowned Little Mister and Anna Conkle Little Miss. The children were given new bicycles.
During the contest 11 girls and five boys competed by answering questions posed by the event's MC Alyssa Huggins. Huggins asked the children a variety of questions such as their name, age, if they were in school and they liked best about it, whether they had siblings, what they liked about the fair and whether they were showing animals this year.
Each child received a backpack with goodies for their efforts.
