Moundsville Thinking Spring With Family-Themed Events on Saturday

The city of Moundsville is swinging to spring by offering activities for children and adults this weekend.

On Saturday, April 1, the Four Seasons Pool, 300 Mulberry Ave., will host a free Easter drive-through event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children will receive a treat bag and get to see the Easter Bunny live and in person.

The event is sponsored by the Moundsville Parks and Recreation Department.

Also, a Donuts With the Easter Bunny event for children is being hosted Saturday at John Marshall High School's Commons. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the event ends at noon. Participants are asked to arrive no later than 10:30 a.m.

The doughnuts event is being hosted by the JMHS Student Council. In addition to eating the sweet treats, children will get to meet the Easter Bunny, have their picture taken with the bunny, make crafts and play games.

Tickets are $10 for children and $2 for adults and can be purchased at johnmarshallcte.org/student-council.

Also on Saturday is the Jefferson Avenue Businesses' Spring Fling, slated from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event includes a day of shopping with businesses offering sales, discounts and giveaways.

Some of the businesses participating include Allen's Bootery, Angel Kay Photography, Bee Hive Salon, Cigar Life, Country Lane Crafts, Doodle's Simple Creations, E&K Sport Cards, Frame and Fortunes, Izzy's Food Truck, Kathy's Krafts, Mounds of Nutrition, ReDecorate Consignment, Ruttenberg's, The Bins at Boss Babe, Theresa's Fabrics, Vintage Vantage and Wood Scraps and Other Cute Things.
