Wheeling-based Carenbauer Distributing wants to show its support for those who have sacrificed in defense of the United States and those people's families. So from May through August, Carenbauer will donate a portion of the proceeds from every case of Budweiser it sells to Folds Of Honor's scholarship program.
Folds Of Honor is an Oklahoma-based charitable organization that provides scholarships and other assistance to the children and families of military personnel killed or disabled in action, as well as families of first responders. The scholarship derived from Carenbauer's proceeds will go to a local family.
"It is an honor to provide families with the educational opportunities they deserve, while honoring the sacrifice their family has made," said Carenbauer Distributing Vice President Erin Carenbauer Ball. "Every child should be given the opportunity to progress as they realize their dreams and ambitions."
In addition to the Folds of Honor scholarship presentation, Carenbauer will host an open house for the Marshall County and Wheeling Area chambers of commerce. Established in 1946, Carenbauer Distributing employs 20 people in various positions and actively provides charitable contributions and volunteers for local causes.
