The Hancock County Commission opted Thursday not to take any action on two proposals which have been before them for the last month.
As part of their regular meeting Thursday afternoon, commissioners agreed to take off the table a proposed amendment to the county's employee policy concerning regulations for salaries and benefits.
The proposal through the County Clerk's Office initially went before the commission on March 23, to amend Section A: Salary and Wage Administration under Salary and Wage Administration, Benefits and Deductions in the employee policy.
It was tabled during that meeting, as well as the following meetings, with the commission indicating no action would be taken for now Thursday.
"I'm not prepared to take any action at this time," Commissioner Eron Chek announced, with the commission then voting to not move forward with the proposal for the time being.
The proposed amendment focused on pay schedules, approval of payroll and the processing of payroll.
During previous tabling actions, commissioners indicated additional information was needed. No additional comments were made Thursday.
Also removed from the agenda after being tabled multiple times was a consideration to verify county assets for the county's insurance renewal.
Chek previously had indicated a desire to make certain the county had a true accounting of assets.
"We're very close to having this finished," she said Thursday.
