Grand Vue Park’s new pool will debut to the public July 1.

According to the park’s Facebook page, the ribbon cutting for the new pool is scheduled for 11 a.m. July 1. The pool will be open to the public that day from noon-7 p.m.

On the park’s Facebook post, it stated that the park is still waiting for a couple of features that needed to be installed and the grass area wasn’t “quite ready yet for people.”

The heated pool, on which construction started last July, will feature a rock climbing wall, diving board, two slides, water walks, basketball hoops and other water tools. At 7,500 square feet, It is much larger than the previous pool. Officials wanted to increase the pool’s size to accommodate a boost in visitors to the park. Last summer a new RV park was added.

Three lap lanes are found in the rectangular section of the pool. That side is also expected to include a diving board and water reaching 11 feet deep. There will also be a rock-climbing wall.

For non-county residents the entry fee will be $12 for adults and $10 for youth residents, seniors and active military residents. And children 3 and younger still enter free.
