Human Trafficking Awareness Program Tonight In Wheeling
A program discussing human trafficking issues in the Ohio Valley will be held starting at 6 p.m. today at Sonneborn Shelter at Wheeling Park. The program is sponsored by the local group Ignite Hope. Among the guest speakers will be Heather Lapp, director of operations for YWCA Wheeling.
Among the topics that will be discussed are what human trafficking is, what it looks like in the Ohio Valley, what already is being done in the community to combat it and what more can be done. For more information, contact Stacy Gilson at 304-281-7789.

Standup comedian Nate Bargatze has announced he will perform a second show Sept. 21 at Wheeling's Capitol Theatre. Bargatze will now perform at both 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. that night.

Free Aerobics Class Offered In Weirton
WEIRTON -- The Weirton campus of West Virginia Northern Community College is offering a free fall aerobics class under the direction of instructor Carol Teaff. Classes run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays between Sept. 5 and Dec. 5. The class meets in the student center, located in the back of the Weirton campus.
The low-impact class puts emphasis on continuous movement, strength improvement and flexibility, according to officials. All exercise and stretching is done standing, usually to music that's 128-140 beats per minute. Everyone is encouraged to work at their own ability level.
Participants should wear loose or stretchy clothing and athletic shoes and bring a bottle of water with them. Stretchy bands will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own.
