Moundsville Middle School Students Place 2nd in Coding Competition

Moundsville Middle School Technology Student Association students Bryant Morgan and Kingsley Zheng competed at the TSA National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, in the Computer Coding competition.

Under the direction of TSA advisor Shelly Lynch, Morgan and Zheng won first place at the state competition in March, which qualified them for the national competition.

Students first competed in a preliminary coding test on June 29 and the top 12 teams from the nation moved onto the semifinal competition on July 1. The Moundsville Middle School team was announced in second place during award ceremonies on July 2.

The team was awarded a pin for placing in the top 12 teams, and a second-place trophy for their excellence in coding.
