Wheeling Elks Name October, November Students of the Month

Wheeling Elks Lodge No. 28 has announced its Students of the Month for October and November. The October winners are Kathryn Tiu and Thomas Ryncarz, both seniors at Wheeling Central Catholic High School. For November, Emilee Dobbs and Joshua Meneely, both seniors at Cameron High School, earned the honor.

Tiu, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Christopher and Dana Tiu of Wheeling, is captain of the girls soccer team. She is president of both the math honorary and the math and science tutoring program. She attended both West Virginia Girls State and the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Program.

Ryncarz, the son of Barb Yazrombek and Tom Ryncarz of Bridgeport, Ohio, is the senior class treasurer, and is a peer tutor in both math and science. He is captain of the boys lacrosse team, and is the assistant captain of the Hockey Team. He is a four-year member of the Drug Free Club of America, and he also attended West Virginia Boys State.

Dobbs, the daughter of Stephanie and Michael Dobbs of Cameron, is a four-year member of the student council where she currently serves as treasurer. She is also a four-year member of the girls' basketball team which has won the past two West Virginia Class A state championships. She is also actively involved with the school newspaper and yearbook.

Meneely, the son of Vicki and Darrell Meneely of Cameron, is the historian of the National Honor Society. He attended West Virginia Boys State, and he has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He is an eight-year member of the band, including Honor Bands and the OVAC All-Star Band.
