First Responders Help Salvation Army Through ‘Battle of the Badges’

Jade Shaw of St. Clairsville, 8, puts some money in the Salvation Army red kettle at the Elm Grove Riesbeck's, which was manned Saturday afternoon by Wheeling Fire Department Capt. Nick Brown. The fire department was one of the first responder groups participating in the "Battle of the Badges" contest to see with group could collect the most donations. Others involved included the Ohio County Sheriff's Department and Ohio County EMS. The Wheeling Police Department will participate at a later date. (Photo by Derek Redd)
