Chamber Announces Leadership Wheeling Class of 2024

The newest class for Leadership Wheeling is ready to enhance their leadership abilities to help make the Friendly City a better place to live.
The Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce announced the 2024 class Tuesday and welcomed members Tuesday night with a kickoff reception at the Stifel Fine Arts Center.
The class will embark on a journey of learning and leadership development across the area. Members will visit various locations to learn more about the city's history, local government, various industries, arts and culture, nonprofit organizations and participate in leadership development activities designed to enhance personal effectiveness and growth.
Participants will receive a curated library of five leadership books, take the "Strength-Finders" assessment, and even have an opportunity to ride along with a police officer.
Applicants were selected to represent different industries and companies across the Ohio Valley who have demonstrated an interest or experience in leadership and a desire to engage in this community.
Ronna-Renee Jackson has been commissioned to design and deliver a leadership development program that builds on the legacy of previous programs while introducing new opportunities for personal growth with the participants.
"This year's program will engage leaders at all levels," Jackson said.
The class' first educational session comes Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack.
