2 Arrested After High-Speed Chase Ends Near Barnesville

BARNESVILLE -- Two people have been arrested following a high-speed pursuit that occurred Saturday across multiple counties.

According to published reports, Jamey Friend, 46, of West Virginia and Deidra Hines, of Parkersburg, were arrested and are facing charges after they allegedly led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit in a stolen vehicle. Charges include tampering with evidence, receiving stolen property, drug possession, drug paraphernalia and illegal drug use, obstructing, and failure to comply with law enforcement.

The pursuit allegedly began in Muskingum County and ended near Barnesville. The pair is at the Belmont County Jail pending arraignment.
