Mobile Food Pantry Feeds Hundreds in Wheeling

1 min read

Volunteers put together some of the 10,000 pounds of food available Thursday at the Mountaineer Food Bank Mobile Pantry held in the parking lot of the Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack. That food should feed about 400 individuals. About 100 cars had already lined up to get bags of food before the distribution began. Volunteers helping Thursday included individuals from Williams Energy, EQT, Catholic Charities Neighborhood Center, Ohio County Family Resource Network and Wheeling Elks. Another mobile pantry will be held at the same site Nov. 19. (Photo by Derek Redd)
