No injuries were reported in a house fire on Sixth Street in Benwood that severely damaged the home. Fire crews responding had the blaze under control Thursday evening.

Officials said one individual was stuck on the roof when first responders and firefighters arrived on scene and crews were able to safely get them down.

Benwood Fire Department, Moundsville Fire Department, Glen Dale Volunteer Fire Department, McMechen Volunteer Fire Department and Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Department responded.
