Kristy Ferguson, president of the Elm Grove Business Association, and Ward 6 Wheeling City Councilman Dave Palmer, were joined by local, county and state dignitaries on Friday when they unveiled a new sign welcoming motorists to Elm Grove. The sign is located on U.S. 40 near the Interstate 70 eastbound exit ramp. The welcome sign project was funded by a Love Your Neighborhood Mini Grant through city council for the Elm Grove Business Association. The West Virginia Division of Highways helped secure permission to use state property for the sign, and Yensen Landscape & Supply helped beautify the grounds around the new welcome sign, which was installed by Palmer and Charlie Savage.
