Steubenville Nutcracker Village Will Add Ballet Performances to Event
STEUBENVILLE — The Christmas season just got a little more magical with the Steubenville Cultural Trust’s new partnership with the Canton Ballet for the 2025 Nutcracker Village.
The 2025-2026 season is the Canton Ballet’s 60th anniversary and to celebrate, they’re going on the road: They’ll perform excerpts from the Nutcracker Ballet Nov. 29 at the theater in the Steubenville Masonic Temple.
“Canton Ballet reached out to us earlier this year to discuss the opportunity to join forces, and we were excited to include their talented company as part of our festivities this year,” said Therese Nelson-Fedoryka, artistic director for the Steubenville Nutcracker Village. “We look forward to a successful event and future partnerships.”
She said it’s a performance “that’s enchanted families across Northeast Ohio for over half a century and is a beloved holiday tradition,” pointing out that whether you’re embarking on your first ballet experience or returning with your children or grandchildren, “The Nutcracker promises a mesmerizing journey for all ages.”
“The Nutcracker Ballet holds a special place for many people around the holidays and we are thrilled for our community to experience the gifts that Canton Ballet has to offer along with our Nutcracker Village event,” she said.
Performances will be at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Masonic theater, 227 N. Fourth St., Steubenville.
Tickets are $20 each, with a limited number of premium seats — ground level seats directly in front of the stage — priced at $35 each. Children 2 and under will be admitted free with an adult ticket-holder.
A 20 percent discount is available to those purchasing 10 or more tickets at the same time. For details, email SteubenvilleNutcrackerVillage@gmail.com.
The first 100 ticket holders will receive a free commemorative mini-nutcracker when they arrive at the performance.
