WHEELING — McDonald’s owner/operators in the areas of Pittsburgh and Erie, Pennsylvania, along with those in Clarksburg, Weston and Wheeling, West Virginia, and Steubenville, Ohio, raised more than $105,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown on Aug. 8.

During the RMHC Digital Day, local RMHC Chapters earned 20% of all sales purchased through the McDonald’s app.

Digital Day efforts raised a total of $105,986 for the RMHC of Pittsburgh and Morgantown. Each restaurant in the region donated a minimum of $250 to the local RMHC chapter. A check presentation was held on Aug. 26. Local owner/operators from across the region, including Pittsburgh, Erie, Johnstown/Altoona, Clarksburg, and Wheeling/Steubenville, presented the check to Eleanor Reigel, CEO of RMHC of Pittsburgh and Morgantown.

“We are grateful for our McDonald’s Owner/Operator partners who continued their generosity by holding a day to share a portion of their sales to support families needing support while their children are receiving care at our area hospitals,” said RMHC of Pittsburgh and Morgantown CEO Eleanor Reigel.

The mission of RMHC is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. Each RMHC Chapter strives to keep families together and near the care their children need, recognizing the emotional and financial strain that serious illness can place on families.

Starting at $2.99/week.
