Angel Tree Signups Close On Friday

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree signups are ending Friday, Oct. 17, in Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, and Tyler counties, the organization announced Wednesday, saying it was urgent that everyone in need get their applications submitted along with any outstanding documentation.

“With the Angel Tree Program being an adoption program we have to get the angels out for adoption as quickly as possible,” said Salvation Army Lt. John Lawrence. “This is the reason we have moved our last applications accepted date to October 17. Do not miss out on getting your children on the Angel Tree by waiting too long to apply.

Applications can be done online through SAAngelTree.org. In-person applications can be done at the following locations:

∫ Ohio County –through Thursday 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at 3333 Eoff Street in Wheeling.

∫ Marshall County — through Thursday 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at 248 Jefferson Ave. in Moundsville.

∫ Wetzel and Tyler counties — 8:30 a.m.- 4 p.m., on Oct. 17 located at the Sistersville Volunteer Fire Department.

Online applications for all counties will run through Oct. 17 at SAAngelTree.org.

The Angel Tree Program is an adoption program where neighbors, businesses, and organizations adopt angels and purchase toys, clothes, etc. for newborns to 16 years of age. We ask that no single gift request is over $40 so that as many children as possible are adopted.
