In another case, on Friday, deputies with the Belmont County Sheriff’s Criminal Interdiction Unit assisted U.S. Marshals for the Northern District of West Virginia in apprehending two subjects wanted on outstanding warrants. Officials searched a residence on School Street in Neffs. During the search, John Webster Huggins Jr., 47, of Bellaire and Kaylee Ann Jones, 22, of Wheeling, were located in the attic of the residence, hiding in the insulation.

In a third case, on Thursday, the Criminal Interdiction Unit attempted stop a vehicle near Ohio 7 and the Interstate 470 bridge for a traffic infraction. The vehicle in question allegedly fled for a short distance, coming to a stop on the I-470 exit ramp to W.Va. 2 in Wheeling. During the traffic stop, drugs were seized that were in plain view, and a search of the vehicle was conducted, and approximately 1 ounce of suspected drugs were seized.

Dominic Brock, 24, of Wheeling was arrested by the Wheeling Police Department. The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office will be requesting a warrant for Brock’s arrest for pending charges in Belmont County. The St. Clairsville and Wheeling police departments assisted the sheriff’s office.
