The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for the holiday season and is seeking sponsors and decorators for some of its events.

The chamber’s Tree Gala Auction is set for 5 p.m. Nov. 6 at Grand Vue Park. The chamber is seeking a couple more decorators for Christmas trees that will be sold during the event. Table centerpiece decorators are also needed for the gala.

“We’re inviting businesses, organizations and individuals to decorate a Christmas centerpiece for the event,” Reager notes in his chamber letter. “Each decorated centerpiece will be featured in our silent auction during the gala. If you’re interested in participating, please let us know; we’d love to showcase your creativity this holiday season.”

WesBanco is the presenting sponsor for the Tree Gala event and Christmas Parade. WesBanco presented the chamber with a $13,350 check this past spring to support the holiday events and other programming throughout the year.

“This support from WesBanco is instrumental in helping us enhance our programming and fund important initiatives for our members and the community. It’s great to have a partner like WesBanco at the Chamber of Commerce,” Reager said in a social media post. “We’re grateful for this partnership and for their commitment to the Marshall County community.”

The chamber is also looking for additional sponsors for the tree gala auction.

Meanwhile, the chamber is now taking float applications for its annual Christmas Parade, slated for 2 p.m. Nov. 22 in Moundsville. Call Reager at 304-845-2773 or email him at sreager@marshallcountychamber.com.

“The Christmas Parade is a beloved tradition that brings families together and kicks off the holiday season in style,” Reager said.

Sponsors are also needed for the 55th annual parade.
