Reynolds Rapid Care is now open in a new, freshly-renovated location in Moundsville.
The health care clinic was previously located at the old Elby’s shopping plaza across from McDonald’s. Because it had outgrown its previous space, a new location beside Aldi grocery was renovated over the course of a few weeks. It is located at 132 Lafayette Ave., Moundsville, and is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week.
Tony Martinelli, president and CEO of WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital, describes the new site as “state of the art.”
“We’re proud to open our new Rapid Care location in Moundsville — a modern, more convenient space designed with our patients in mind,” he said.
“This expansion allows us to provide the same exceptional care our community has come to expect, in a more comfortable and accessible environment.
“It’s another example of our ongoing commitment to reinvesting in our community and ensuring that high-quality, compassionate care remains close to home.”
In addition to Rapid Care, the hospital also plans to open a primary care office beside it at a later date. There are also future plans to open a physical therapy office in the plaza.
Having these services in the plaza instead of at the main hospital is expected to free up many parking spaces at the hospital’s busy parking lot.
In addition to Moundsville, there are two other Reynolds Rapid Care facilities — Benwood and Mt. Olivet. The facilities can provide medical care for “minor illnesses or injuries.”
A formal ribbon cutting ceremony for the new location is being planned for November.
