WHEELING — Elks Lodge No. 28 has announced its Students of the Month for October and November.

The October winners are Masyn Inclan and Jasper Murrin, both seniors at John Marshall High School. The November winners are Macey Bertram and Danny Yoss, both seniors at Cameron High School.

Inclan, the daughter of Katie and Alex Inclan of Glen Dale, is captain of the girls’ volleyball team, and a four-year varsity member of the volleyball, softball, and basketball teams. She has previously been named first-team all-OVAC in both volleyball and softball, and was also named second-team all-state in softball. She is a member of the Drug Free Club and the National Honor Society. She also volunteers for the Ogden Newspapers Wellness Weekend presented by WVU Medicine and Relay for Life.

Murrin, the son of Darlene and Jerry Murrin of Dallas, is a four-year member of the golf team, and is also a member of both the Drug Free Club and the National Honor Society.

He previously earned second place nationally in the Personal Finance competition of the LifeSmarts program. He is also active with the Marshall County 4-H, and recently volunteered his time with the flood relief efforts in Ohio County.

Bertram, the daughter of Alison and Luke Bertram of Wheeling, is president of the Student Council. She is a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, the Drug Free Club, and the basketball and track teams. She is vice president of the Marshall County Livestock Club, and has volunteered for the Special Olympics and the Night to Shine.

Yoss, the son of Lisa and Nathan Yoss of Cameron, is currently the valedictorian of his class. He is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. As a sophomore, he was given the Outstanding Chemistry Student Award by the Upper Ohio Valley Section of the American Chemical Society. He also volunteers his time for numerous projects through the National Honor Society.
