Firefighters Battle a Pair of House Fires in Marshall County
Firefighters in Marshall County battled two separate house fires on Monday afternoon, one of which left a resident with facial burns.
Tom Hart, director of the Marshall County Emergency Management Agency, said the first fire occurred on Heavens Lane in Limestone.
“The residents were able to get out; one individual suffered a burn to their face,” he said.
That fire call came in at 2:33 p.m. Firefighters and EMS from Limestone and Moundsville responded, along with EMS from Marshall County. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department also came to the scene.
A second structure fire occurred on Nolte Lane in the St. Joseph Settlement or Roseland Resort.
“It’s a fully involved structure fire; the main building of the resort,” he said.
The second fire, called in at 3:04 p.m., had firefighters respond from St. Joseph, New Martinsville, Cameron, Roberts Ridge, along with the Marshall and Wetzel County EMS.
Officials said the causes of both fires are still under investigation.
