Life Hub Homeless Shelter To Open Early Saturday for Storm

WHEELING — The Life Hub Emergency Homeless Shelter, located at 35 16th St. in Wheeling, will expand shelter services to support unsheltered individuals during the upcoming winter storm.

Plans are in place to begin hosting guests starting Saturday evening, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m., with services continuing through Tuesday morning, Jan. 27.

Shelter beds will be available for men at the Life Hub.

Shelter beds for women will be available at the Salvation Army, following normal overnight protocols.

Overnight sleep hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

All daytime shelter services and meals will be provided at the Life Hub.

The Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling and Catholic Charities Neighborhood will provide snacks and pre-cooked meals during the expanded emergency hours. Life Hub staff will follow all emergency orders issued by the Ohio County Emergency Management Agency.
