Two women and a man were arrested in Moundsville during the execution of a search warrant, said Marshall County Sheriff Mike Dougherty.

On Jan. 8 the Marshall County Drug Task Force, in conjunction with the Moundsville Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, executed the search warrant at 1619 Diamond St., Moundsville.

“This operation was a direct result of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug activity in our county,” he said.

During the search, officers seized about 61 grams of fentanyl and $2,781 in cash, according to Dougherty. The following individuals were arrested and charged:

– Shane C. Knight, 33, charged with obstructing, assault on an officer, and conspiracy to deliver fentanyl;

– Robert D. Price, 44, charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver fentanyl; and

– Trista Porter, 41, charged with conspiracy to deliver fentanyl.

“The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is committed to keeping our county safe and free from drugs,” Dougherty said. “This operation, along with the arrests and seizures we made, is the result of many hours of teamwork between the Marshall County Drug Task Force, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, and the Moundsville Police Department. We will keep working to stop drugs and those who bring them into Marshall County.”

The investigation remains ongoing.
