WPD Hosting Downtown/Centre Market Business Crime Watch
WHEELING – The Wheeling Police Department will host a monthly Downtown/Centre Market Crime Watch Group for businesses in the Downtown and Centre Market areas.
The first meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 4. Future meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at Wheeling Police Headquarters, 2115 Chapline Street.
The meetings are designed for business owners and managers, focusing on crime prevention and public safety issues affecting commercial districts.
These meetings are not intended for residents. Residents are encouraged to participate in Neighborhood Crime Watch meetings, which will resume in March, and are designed to address concerns specific to residential neighborhoods.

IGNITE HOPE Hosting Forum On Human Trafficking
WHEELING – IGNITE HOPE will host a forum on human trafficking Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the Ohio County Public Library. In this forum, the group will discuss the myths, warning signs and realities of human trafficking with community leaders and advocates. It will include survivor insight and local resources.
Wall That Heals Committee Hosting Community Kickoff
ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Wall That Heals Committee is hosting a community kickoff meeting to learn more about The Wall That Heals that is coming to Belmont County in October. The meeting will be held at noon Thursday at the St. Clairsville American Legion Post 159 meeting hall.
This special meeting will provide an overview of the traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica and Mobile Education Center, share what visitors can expect during the four-day exhibit, and outline ways the community can be involved in making this meaningful event possible.
Community members, veterans, organizations, businesses, and civic groups are encouraged to attend to learn about volunteer and sponsorship opportunities.
SOAR Plans Meeting
WEIRTON — SOAR will hold its quarterly meeting at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mario’s restaurant in Weirton.
The afternoon’s meal will consist of pizza, salad and beverages.
Jefferson Chamber To Hold Business After Hours
WINTERSVILLE — The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce will hold its next Business After Hours event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at Valley Wine Cellar, located at 825 Main St. in Wintersville.
A speed networking activity will be held at the cost of $20 per person. This opportunity allows area professionals to rotate through quick introductions, maximizing connections in minimal time.
Tickets include appetizers, a drink ticket, a networking game, an event contact list and endless relationships. Participants are encouraged to bring their business cards.
