No Trial Date Yet For Sandton Browder In Bellaire Murder Case

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Another pre-trial hearing has been scheduled in the Sandton Browder murder case.
Browder, 23, of Virginia is charged with one count of murder with a gun specification and one count of having a weapon while under disability after allegedly shooting to death Jordan Dean, 24, of North Carolina on Jan. 15 at a house in Bellaire.
Browder appeared Monday before Belmont County Common Pleas Court Judge Chris Berhalter. Berhalter approved two requests – a transcription of previous grand jury proceedings and to have a stenographer present – from Browder’s attorney, Aaron Miller.
Berhalter then set another pre-trial hearing for 10 a.m. April 20. He noted the trial date may be set at that time.
Belmont County Prosecutor Kevin Flanagan is representing the state.
According to previous reports, the victim was found dead in the 44th Street home after the home’s owner called 911. The victim was found in a bedroom in the home with four bullet wounds. An unloaded firearm was found next to him.
Browder was arrested at the scene.
