Park Players Present ‘The Addams Family Musical’

The Park Players cast of "The Addams Family Musical" pose on the stage of Wheeling Park High School's J.B. Chambers Performing Arts Center. The musical opens Friday and runs through Sunday.

Get ready for some creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky fun this weekend, as Wheeling Park High School’s Park Players present their spring musical, “The Addams Family Musical.”

A darkly comedic, family-centered production based on the iconic characters created by Charles Addams, the story brings audiences into the delightfully unique and macabre world of the Addams family as they navigate both a surprising and relatable challenge: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has fallen in love–with a “normal” boy from a respectable family.

Through humor, heart, and a touch of the supernatural, the show explores themes of love, acceptance, and the beauty of embracing differences.

The show, directed by Julie Schultz with music under the direction of Joyce Jingle and choreography by Cheryl Pompeo will run Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets can be preordered on Wheeling Park High School’s website under the “more” option followed by selecting “WPHS Activities Tickets.” Tickets can also be purchased on site. Cash or credit cards accepted. Ohio County students and children under 5 are free.

Starting at $2.99/week.
