Polling location change announced

WHEELING – There is a polling location change for voters in Ohio County for next Tuesday’s primary election, according to Erin Allietta, elections coordinator for Ohio County.

The Masonic Lodge in Fulton will no longer be a polling location. Voters in precincts 20 and 31 will now vote in the upstairs event room at Generations Restaurant and Pub, 338 National Road, in Fulton.

Marshall Co. Democrats to meet

GLEN DALE – The Marshall County Democratic Executive Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Perkins Restaurant in Glen Dale for a reorganization meeting.

Those interested in being appointed to a vacancy on the Marshall County Democratic Committee should attend this meeting. Officers, who do not have to be a member of the committee, will be elected at this meeting, and then appointments will be made to fill vacancies.

Democrats interested in filling a vacancy in their district should attend this meeting or email marshallcountywvdemocrats@gmail.com.

All Democrats and Independents are welcome to attend the meetings.

Marshall Co. Retired School Employees to meet

The final meeting of the school year fo the Marshall County Association of Retired School Employees will be held at noon May 15 at El Paso Mexican Restaurant in Glen Dale. The program will consist of a memorial service to recognized school employees who have passed away in the past year. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office will provide a speaker to discuss different types of fraud.

Members are asked to return their volunteer community service hour sheets. This month’s voluntary community service project includes providing snacks for the Ash Avenue Church of God youth group. Please call Lexie for a reservation at 304-845-0078.

Lane closure scheduled for U.S. 250

The southbound 18th Street exit ramp on U.S. 250 in Wheeling will have the right lane closed from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Monday, May 25, for bridge maintenance. Motorists are advised to reduce speed and expect delays. Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
