Ohio County DEC to hold organizational meeting

The Ohio County Commission recently signed off on the May 12 primary election results, certifying the newly elected Democratic Executive Committee elected members. Therefore the outgoing Chair of the OCDEC is required to convene an Organizational Meeting of the new Executive Committee ( WV Code §3-1-9(g)).

As a result, the Organizational Meeting of the newly elected Democratic Executive Committee will take place on Tuesday, June 30 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the First Capitol Building, 1413 Eoff Street in Wheeling

Regular monthly meetings of the Ohio County Executive Committee will resume on July 7 at 6 p.m. at the First Capitol Building.

Ormet Retirees To Meet

The Ormet Retirees Club Local 5724 will have its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. June 9 in Hannibal at the old grade school on Ohio 536. It will be our summer picnic. Last names starting with A-H bring a covered dish and I-Z bring desert. All Ormet retirees are welcome to join us. There are two picnics and a Christmas dinner every year. Membership is only $10 per person per year. Meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month. Lane restrictions coming to North Fork Road

A portion of Ohio County Route 9 (North Fork Road) in Wheeling, will be restricted to one lane from milepost 0.00 to milepost 2.45 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, June 2, through Thursday, June 4, for road maintenance. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Motorists are advised to reduce speed and expect delays.

DOH to repair Sorghum Ridge Road

A portion of Marshall County Route 88/2 (Sorghum Ridge Road) from milepost 0.00 to milepost .087, will be restricted to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, June 1, and Tuesday, June 2, for road maintenance. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Motorists are advised to reduce speed and expect delays.
